My wife and I absolutely loved our stay at Casa Delfino. We lived in Chania for 2 1/2 years and recently went back for a visit. We just stayed 1 night at the hotel and it was well worth it. Very friendly staff, beautiful and romantic rooms - all with a great location in Chania. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a charming, romantic hotel in the Chania harbor area.
Our suite was lovely (gorgeous bathroom), and the whole hotel was very well maintained. But the best thing about our stay was the people. Everyone at Casa Delfino was delightful - they made us feel welcome and wanted. Their advice helped to ensure we had a wonderful holiday. We found it to be a superb mix of five star luxury, and personal care - almost as though you were staying with friends.
It was a beautiful hotel and the hotel staff was just like family. So sweet and accommodating to all of our needs. I would most definately stay there again. In fact we will when we visit in another couple of years.
There was nothing we didn't like.
Absolutely wonderful hotel! It is indeed tastefully restored. The combination of old style and modern comforts have been conducted with great yet understated elegance. It has a good location in the old venetian town and close to the harbour, though at comfortable distance from noise. We moved from one bedroom appartment to Penthouse Suite, and from the terrace to this room we enjoyed what must be the best view in Chania. The family who owns this hotel shows genuine interest in how their guests are doing, while staying in their hotel.
I appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, excellent information giving and delicious, home cooked breakfasts.
Room a bit dusty in certain areas, shower arrangement not very good.
A nice stop over for low budget travellers, clean rooms and nice staff so if you travell on low budget good rooms
they do their best for breakfast with home made food but just a breakfast corner and real coffee would be nice
The service was outstanding, far above other hotels I've stayed at around europe. Excellent rooms, great breakfast and a perfect location in the city.
The staff at Casa Delfino couldn't have been more kind and helpful--upon arriving, we were given recommendations on everything from shops to restaurants to beaches, all of which turned out to be spot on. The rooms are well appointed (our first comfortable beds in Greece--yay!), and breakfast each day was delicious, with many treats made by the family that has long owned the hotel. The location is central to everything you'll want to see in Chania.
For travellers with a lot of luggage, the one drawback might be that you cannot directly access the hotel by car, and have to walk a few blocks up to reach it, but I'm sure the hotel would help with bags.
Casa Delfino is a very nice hotel indeed. The staff are charming, helpful & friendly. Breakfast, nominally 7am - 11am, does not have a hard stop & can be available at any time if you have to check-out early. It is delightfully close to the harbour (with a fabulous rooftop view) whilst being set in a quiet location within a maze of small, old-town streets. The staff were very attentive & made every effort to recommend restaurants & things to see & do.
Casa Delfino is an elegantly designed hotel in a superb location. In fact We were pleased to see that the superlatives in your website match reality very accurately. It is close to the turist attractions of Chania but is very quiet and secluded. The hotel staff and especially Margarita, the house manager and Jeniffer who is in charge of guest realtions make Casa Delfino a warm home away from home. Our stay in a superior suite with a balcony in this hotel was a wonderful experience and we dream of goind back soon.
quiet classy close to harbour but a retreat from the crowds
the description of the roof terrace was misleading I pictured something like a bar terrave with tables and chairs , access to it wasn't very easy
the locatiom, the staff, the bed was comfortable
the balcony was a little small and inward opening windows might assist with this ,the breakfast was a little repetitive. The bedcover was too heavy and rough textured
The staff at Casa Delfino were excellent. One woman at the front desk got us a reservation at a hard-to-get-into restaurant that we found in the guidebooks and very much wanted to go to. The man that helped us to our room gave us lots of useful information and was very kind. The room was beautiful and spacious. There were jets in the tub, which made for a very enjoyable bath. The courtyard was beautiful.
The place is beautiful and done to a very high standard. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, they could not have done enough for us, they made excellent recommendations in terms of dining out and also places to visit. Their breakfast is superb all organic and all the pastries and cakes made by the owners. We had wonderful stay at this hotel and will recommend to all of our friends.
We loved everything about it. Perhaps the bathroom in the Deluxe suite which we stayed in for the first couple of days( before upgrading ) was a little small - however the room itself made up for that.
The design build and architecture was off the highest. The location while in the center of the old town was very quiet. Views from the roof terrace were fabulous looking over the harbour, bay, and town. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was super. The old town is car free very picturesque, with a super selection of interesting shops with little of the usual tourist junk. The food in the many restaurants we tried was excellent too. The scenery of Crete is stunning with many fine beaches. All in all a perfect holiday.
